MICHELLE O’LEARY TESTIMONIAL

My daughter, Robyn, has been dancing with CSD since 2017. She loves to attend her weekly classes and adores Miss Sinead, Miss Lyndsay, and Miss Susie. She has made some wonderful friendships. Each end of term performance is fresh, exciting, and so professionally choreographed and created to make every dancer shine. All the children who attend Cork School of Dance are treated with the utmost care and attention and the quality of the teaching staff is second to none.

EMMA TEAHAN TESTIMONIAL

My years in Cork School of Dance taught me so much more than just dance! I absolutely adored going into the doors of the Firkin Crane every week to such a friendly and positive atmosphere. From weekly classes, weekend rehearsals, ballet and jazz exams to the various Christmas and Summer shows, I have so many wonderful memories of my time in CSD. My passion for dance and fitness has stayed with me throughout my adult life and that is testament to the amazing dance school Ms Murphy runs.

SOPHIE O’LEARY TESTIMONIAL

My name is Sophie O’ Leary. I trained with Miss Sinead from the age of 5 in ballet, modern and contemporary dance. I would not be where I am today without the professionalism and high standards of Cork School of Dance. I have been privileged to be part of this outstanding dance school from which I gained great knowledge and experience which I have taken with me into my professional dance training at Barcelona City Ballet, Dance Area Geneva and currently Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. Miss Sinead helped me prepare for the outside world of dance both physically and mentally. I gained great stage experience which helped my confidence and self - expression. Cork School of Dance gave me the opportunity to create great friendships. It also gave me the opportunity to explore different genres of dancethat would help me throughout my training. The intimate environment gave me the opportunity to perform roles on stage that challenged me and gave me something to work towards. Through CSD I had the opportunity to perform with Cork City Ballet and to become a member of Cork Youth Ballet Company and Irish National Youth Ballet. Miss Sinead is always there for me in dance and life. Thank you. I could not recommend this school enough.

JENNIFER O’DONOVAN TESTIMONIAL

I began my formal dance training under the tutorage of Miss Sinéad Murphy of Cork School of Dance when I was three years old and ever since dance has become such a huge part of my life.
Thanks to Miss Sinéad I have been afforded so many amazing opportunities such as performing in the Opera House Panto, receiving a scholarship for the Institute of the Arts Barcelona for a Summer intensive course. We also got to travel on a group trip to Move it in London and my personal favourite is all the outstanding shows I have gotten to perform in with my friends I have made throughout the years.
The weeks of rehearsals when everyone comes together to pull off a great production is the best part because at Cork School of Dance not only are you training with your classmates - it becomes much deeper than that.
Miss Sinéad creates a family like atmosphere where I have met lifelong friends who I now have the most amazing memories with which I will always treasure. Throughout my years not only have I received the best standard of training but I was also taught discipline, respect and self belief, most importantly I was taught to Dream, Aspire and Achieve.

JESSICA O’CALLAGHAN TESTIMONIAL

I was part of the Cork School of Dance family for many years. I trained under the guidance of Sinéad Murphy from the age of five to nineteen. The school was not only a place to grow and express myself through dance but also a community and a family. I ate, slept and breathed dance during my time here and the Firkin Crane became my second home. Being a part of countless professional productions, performing alongside world-renowned professional dancers, playing principal roles in school shows and completing grade and vocational ISTD examinations are some of the highlights from my time at Cork School of Dance. I have learned unique and valuable lessons through ballet and dance that I could not have experienced anywhere else. I will be forever grateful for the discipline, skills, memories and lifelong friendships the school has given me.

MOLLY WARD TESTIMONIAL

Cork School of Dance has been a major part of my life since established in 2009. I will be forever grateful for the life lessons I have learned, first as a student at the school and now as a teacher. Ms Sinead’s exemplary training has given me the opportunity to complete my exams in both ISTD Ballet and Modern. I then went on to further my dance training at Bird College in London. Her care and guidance did not stop there, she has continued to guide me throughout my career both as a mentor and a friend in becoming a professional dancer and qualified ISTD Ballet and Modern teacher. The ethos of discipline and technique set by Ms Sinead permeates through her students. Ms Sinead’s professional reputation is recognised world wide. This is testimony to her dedication and love for the art form. Cork School of Dance is a significant asset to the dance culture of Cork city and beyond.

CHLOE RIORDAN TESTIMONIAL

As a Student of Miss Sinead’s for over 15 years, I can safely say that my time at Cork School of Dance has shaped much of who I am today. My passion for dance and performing was nurtured in a positive, inspiring atmosphere - and not only did I learn incredible technique across a range of different dance genres, but I also learned how to carry myself with confidence and grace, as well as essential life skills such as punctuality, manners and a great sense of discipline. The opportunities and experiences I have had the privilege of taking part in over the years, as well as the friendships I’ve formed at Cork School Of Dance, are things I’ll take with me forever.
